“When you left that day, I was really panicked. Totally lost.”
He lowered his eyes, seemingly unwilling to recall that painful day.
Apparently, when Evan discovered I hadn’t forgotten about the party, he completely lost it.
He trashed the hospital room, then went back to our apartment and smashed everything he could get his hands on
Someone who had never lost his temper suddenly going berserk–it was terrifying.
When he couldn’t find me, he frantically called non–stop.
After I turned off my phone, he spent a fortune tracking my movement records and phone location.
When he got the location, he rushed back to the hospital and dug my discarded phone out of the
bathroom trash.
Unlocking it, he immediately saw all those disgusting messages.
“I regret it so much. I’m truly sorry. I’m so, so sorry.“He choked up, his hands trembling.
Almost at the exact moment he tracked down who posted the videos, everything got wiped from the
internet. Then–bam!-the FBI kicked in his door with a search warrant.
He and Ravena were taken away, along with his group of friends.After the authorities understood
the whole story, he paid money to bail himself out.
He couldn’t go to prison–he needed to find me, to apologize, to explain everything.
Following me for three years, dating for four–it would be a lie to say there were no love!
His original intention was just to teach me a small lesson. Once Ravena was happy, he would have stopped everything immediately.

He didn’t know how to face it. He had specifically instructed everyone not to share the videos!
For this near imprisonment, he had initially wanted Ravena to learn a lesson too, since what she did
was truly excessive.

“I’m a complete jerk! I’m so sorry, Thalia, truly sorry. Can you give me one chance to make it up to you? I’ll make her apologize and make amends. I’ll send her far away so you’ll never have to see her again, okay?”
He looked at me, his plea sincere.But was that really the whole truth?

I calmly mentioned his secretly filming and distributing my private photos–so calmly that my voice
didn’t waver at all.
“Is there anything else you want to say? If not, please leave and never show your face to me again. You disgust me.”
Evan’s hands shook as he stared at me in disbelief.
“I–I’m sorry, Thalia, I…”
I stood up and left, never wanting to see Evan’s hypocritical face again.
For the next three years, I lived and worked peacefully in the lab, never seeing Evan Keith again.
