Chapter 5
Dorian’s POV
Before I could even process what was happening, more and more white papers rained down from the ceiling of the church.
I instinctively reached out and grabbed one–it was the same bond–breaking agreement.
“Luna is severing the mate bond with Alpha!”
The pack members caught the papers drifting down from the sky and began reading them intently.
Rosalie picked one up as well. At first, she laughed, but when she heard the murmurs and whispers spreading among the crowd, her expression darkened.
“This is my mating ceremony! Stop reading!”
“Stop it right now!”
But the papers kept falling. Rosalie lifted the hem of her dress and frantically tried to snatch them from the air, but it was useless. Realizing she couldn’t stop it, she spun toward me and screamed, “Do something!”
But I still hadn’t recovered from the shock of having my mate bond severed.
Rosalie reached for my hand, but in that moment, I didn’t see her.
I saw Felicity.
I yanked my hand free and bolted toward the church.
“Alpha Dorian, the ceremony isn’t over! Where are you going?!”
It was only now that I realized just how much Felicity meant to me. I couldn’t let another woman take her place as my Luna, but now I still had the chance to fix it.
Felicity, wait for me.
I rushed back to the hospital in a frenzy. The moment the I stopped the car, I bolted straight for the ward. Only when I saw her still lying there, burrowed under the hospital blankets, asleep, did the vise in my heart loosen slightly.
I pushed open the door and walked in, a gentle smile forming on my lips.
“Babe, I’m back.”

But there was no response.

With trembling hands, I peeled back the covers, only for my smile to freeze. There, nestled in Felicity’s place, lay a lone pillow.
Where is she?!
Panic surged through me as I frantically searched the room.
“Felicity? Felicity! Where are you?!”
There was no sign of her. Desperation clawed at my heart as I tried mind–linking her, but there was
no response.
I pulled out my phone and called her, only to hear the dreaded message: My number has been
blocked.
Then I tried sending a text–also deleted and blocked.
The nightmare from last night came flooding back, and my face drained of color. I immediately summoned the pack doctor.
The pack doctor trembled in the corner, his voice barely above a whisper. “We–we don’t know what happened, Alpha. After Luna told us not to disturb her rest last night, no one entered this ward. We swear, we have no idea where she’s gone.”
I then commanded, “Beta, pull the hospital security footage.”
Minutes later, the truth stared me in the face. Felicity had left less than an hour after I did.
I felt like the ground had been ripped out from under me. My mate was gone. Without wasting a second, I mind–linked the entire pack to find her.
The moment I arrived at the pack house, I leaped out of the car and stormed inside, grabbing the
first servant I saw.
“Where is Luna Felicity? Did she come back here?!”
The servant flinched under my gaze. “L–Luna Felicity did come back, Alpha, but only for a short while. She said she was just grabbing some things before returning to the hospital.”
I opened my mouth to speak, then froze. My eyes locked onto the bond–breaking agreement placed conspicuously on the coffee table. Releasing the servant’s arm, I moved as if in a trance. The contract trembled in my grasp like a dying leaf.
And there it was. The bond–breaking agreement.

My eyes locked onto the signature at the bottom. It was Felicity’s name. Everything around me blurred as a deafening silence filled my ears.
No. No, this can’t be happening.
I clenched my fists. This had to be some kind of misunderstanding. Felicity wouldn’t and couldn’t leave me like this.
In a blind rage, I tore the document in half, scattering the pieces into the air.
“Find her!” My voice was thunderous. “Mobilize the entire pack. Search every inch of our territory!”
“I will see her with my own eyes–alive or dead!”
I turned on my heel and bolted out of the packhouse.
No matter where you go, Felicity, I will find you.
