Felicity’s POV
Vespera was breathtakingly beautiful, and I decided to settle down there. After obtaining a residence permit, I bought a small villa nearby. Though it wasn’t large, it was cozy and warm, making me feel less lonely even when I was alone.
The days that followed were peaceful yet fulfilling. Wanting a bit more liveliness in my home, I adopted a kitten and a puppy.
The kitten had a habit of drinking my milk, so I named her Snowmilk.
The puppy, on the other hand, loved carrying small rocks in his mouth, so I called him Rocky.
Their company turned my quiet life upside down. They were always making mischief, always getting into trouble. But I didn’t really mind.
I also became acquainted with a local pack member named Nina. She invited me to go skiing with her pack in Vespera’s snowy mountains.
Just as I was about to leave, an all–too–familiar scent reached my nose.
I didn’t think much of it at first–until I opened the door and saw a face both familiar and foreign.
“How dare you leave! How dare you sever our mate bond?”
Instinctively, I tried to shut the door, but Dorian blocked it, preventing it from closing.
“Felicity!”
At first glance, I hadn’t even recognized him. In just a month, he had lost a shocking amount of weight, his entire demeanor worn and haggard.
He was nothing like the once–proud and powerful Alpha I had known.
The moment he saw me, his dull eyes lit up. He pressed against the door, forcing it open, and strode
toward me.
For a second, I thought he had come to hit me, judging by the darkness in his gaze.
But instead, he reached out as if to embrace me. I swiftly dodged him.
I stepped back, putting distance between us, and watched him warily.
“Back off.”

Dorian froze, a flicker of hurt flashing in his eyes.
“Felicity, what did I do wrong? Why are you treating me like this?”
His voice carried a sorrowful weight, as if he were the one who had suffered the greatest injustice.
“I left the pack for just one day, and when I returned, you had vanished without a word, leaving me nothing but a bond–breaking agreement. Do you not love me anymore? Do you really want to sever our mate bond?”
It seemed he still had no idea that I had discovered his affair with Rosalie.
I pulled out my phone and played a recording. It was Rosalie’s words from that day in the hospital
room.
“Did you really think he loved you? Every night, after you fell asleep, he came crawling to me. Couldn’t even keep his hands off me when I was pregnant. To tell you the truth, the night you lost your child, there was no Alpha gathering. He was in my bed all night, lost in passion. He’s obsessed with me now. If you’re smart, you’ll sever your mate bond with him.”
“Tomorrow, Dorian is holding the mating ceremony for me. It’ll be even grander than the one he gave you. Make sure to attend our wedding!”
Dorian’s face turned deathly pale. He looked at me in disbelief.
“She… she told you everything?”
I put my phone away and spoke calmly, “Now do you understand why I left? For the sake of our past, I won’t pursue this matter further. But I hope you have enough decency to stay out of my life.”
With that, I turned to leave, but Dorian grabbed my wrist, shaking his head.
“Felicity, please, let me explain. I never made her my Luna. You are my only Luna.‘
His so–called explanation was nothing more than a pathetic joke. I couldn’t help but laugh bitterly. “We’ve already severed our mate bond. Whoever you make your Luna is none of my concern. You should hurry back and take care of Rosalie—her baby is probably waiting for you.”
Dorian shook his head again, his voice urgent.
“We haven’t severed our mate bond. I never signed that agreement. You’re still my Luna, my mate. I can explain what happened with Rosalie. It was just a stupid fling, but my heart has always been yours. I swear, my love for you never faded, not even for a second.”
“You have to understand. A person like me will face many she–wolves. They will throw themselves

at me. At first, I was able to resist, but in the end, I’m only human. I couldn’t control my desires,
and so —-”
Every word out of his mouth was a dagger to my heart, mocking the love and trust I had given him
all these years.
I couldn’t hold back anymore.
I slapped him across the face.
“That is not an excuse for cheating! I told you long ago–if you ever fell for someone else, if you were ever unfaithful, you should tell me. But you didn’t. You hid it for three years. Three years, Dorian! You had countless chances to confess, but you chose deception instead. You even had my
womb removed, all so her child could take my child’s place.”
“How could you do that to me?!”
The anger that had been festering inside me finally erupted. My voice rose without restraint.
Dorian was stunned into silence, unable to offer a response.
He wouldn’t get another chance anyway. Nina’s pack had arrived at my doorstep, calling for me to join them.
I refused to waste another second on him. I shoved him out the door and walked past him, getting onto the bus without looking back.
Through the window, I saw Dorian standing there, frozen in place, as if his soul had left his body.
But with his back turned to me, I couldn’t see his expression–and I had no desire to.
