The Omega: Mated To The Four

Chapter Twenty Six

By the time I got home that evening, the sky had turned gtay, and a steady drizzle had started to fall. I locked the door, closed the windows, and settled into bed, hoping for a peaceful night

But, of course, peace wasn’t in the cards for me

As I lay there, listening to the rain, I couldn’t shake the feeling that was being watched. I tried to ignore it, pulling the covers up to my chin and closing my eyes

But when the feeling didn’t go away, I finally got up and peeked out the window

Sure enough, there they wereElijah, Isaiah, Alex, and Austinin their wolf forms, huddled together just outside the cabin. Their fur was soaked, and they looked utterly miserable, but they didn’t seem to care

Idiots,I muttered, shaking my head

For a moment, I considered leaving them out there to teach them a lesson. But as the rain picked up, my resolve wavered

With a sigh, I opened the window

Get in here before I change my mind!I called out

They perked up immediately, their ears twitching as they scrambled to their feet. One by one, they bounded through the window, shaking off water and making a mess of the floor

Stop that!I snapped, glaring at them. You’re getting everything wet!”

They froze, their heads hanging like scolded puppies

I sighed again, grabbing a stack of old towels from the closet

I started with Alex, rubbing his fur gently with the towel. It was softer than I expected, warm and thick despite the rain. Sparks danced across my skin with every touch, and I had to fight the urge to pull away

Don’t look so smug,I muttered, glaring at him as he wagged his tail

Next was Austin, who leaned into my touch so much that I had to shove him back

Stop that,I said, rolling my eyes

Elijah was third, his black fur gleaming even in the dim light of the room. He didn’t move much as I worked, but his piercing gaze never left my face

Don’t make this weird,I warned, throwing the towel over his head

Finally, there was Isaiah. His fur was darker than the others, and he rumbled softly in appreciation as I dried him off

This doesn’t mean I like you,I said, narrowing my eyes

Once they were dry, I grabbed an old mattress from the closet and laid it out on the floor

You’re staying in wolf form,I told them firmly, pointing a finger at each of them. No shifting back. I don’t want to deal with…. you know. They’d obviously be naked when they shifted even though I was curious if was too embarrassing

Chapter Twenty Six

Alex tilted his head, clearly amused, while Austin let out a soft whine

No arguments,I said, crossing my arms

I grabbed a few blankets and threw them over the mattress, creating makeshift bed. The four of them settled in quickly, curling up together like a pack of oversized puppies

For a moment, I just stood there, watching them. Despite everything they looked so peaceful, socontent

Goodnight,I muttered, turning off the light and climbing back into bed

As I lay there, listening to their soft breathing, I couldn’t help but feel a strange sense of comfort

Maybe, just maybe, I was starting to see them in a different light

But that didn’t mean I was ready to forgive them. Not yet
