The Omega: Mated To The Four

chapter sixty Four

The training session had left me utterly drained. Every muscle in mybody ached as I trudged back toward the castle, sweat dripping dan ng temples. My mates had tried to approach me multiple times during training, their attempts to reconcile dicess and desperate. But I wasn’t in the mood for their apologies, no matter how genuine they sounded

1 could bear Austin muttering behind me, probably trying to coax Isajah into making the first move. Elipth, ever the stole, walked a few paces ahead of them, his shoulders tense, Good, I thought bitterly. Let them stew in their guilt

As soon as we teached the main hallway, I broke away from the group, heading straight for the communal bathroom. I needed a showerenmething to wash away the grime of the day and, hopefully the frustration bubbling inside me

Stormi,Elijah called softly, stepping closer

I didn’t turn around. Not now.My voice was clipped, leaving no room for argument

1 pushed open the bathroom door and let it swing shut behind me, taking a deep breath as I stepped into the humid space. The faint sound of running water filled the air, and for a moment, I allowed myself to relax

But that peace was shortlived

Well, Jook who it is,a familiar Russian voice sneered

turned to see Anna, Commander Lynne’s protégé, leaning casually against one of the sinks. Her arms were crossed, and her lips curled into a smirk that immediately set my teeth on edge. Two other witches stood beside her, their expressions mirroring Anna’s smug confidence

Stormi, the savior of the werewolves,Anna drawled, her tone dripping with disdain. Didn’t think you’d show your face here after the day you’ve had.”

I clenched my fists, my nails digging into my palms. Not now, Anna, I’m not in the mood.”

Anna let out a mocking laugh. Oh, poor Stormi. Too tired from playing warrior with your little mates? Or are you just sulking because they finally realized you’re not worth the trouble?”

The other witches giggled, their laughter grating on my already frayed nerves. I turned away, determined to ignore them, but Anna

wasn’t done

They must be so proud of you,she continued, her voice louder now Since you failed to protect your own mother from the umbrakin.”

I froze, my breath catching in my throat. The anger that had been simmering all day erupted like a volcano, and before I could think twice, I spun around

What did you just say?I demanded, my voice low and dangerous

Anna’s smirk widened. You heard me. It’s no secret, Stormi. Everyone knows you’re the weakest link.”

The witches behind her snickered again, their eyes gleaming with amusement

That’s it,I muttered

Without another word, I lunged at Anna, my fist connecting with her jaw. She stumbled back, a look of shock flashing across her face before it twisted into fury

You’re going to regret that, the hissed, her hands crackling with magical energy

The fight broke out in an instant. Anna hurled a bolt of energy at me, but I dodged to the side, the blast scorching the tiles where I’d been standing. I countered with a kick to her midsection, knocking her off balance

Gasps echoed through the bathroom as other witches gathered to watch, their eyes wide with a mixture of shock and excitement

Anna recovered quickly, her hands glowing as she prepared another attack. I didn’t give her the chance. Closing the distance between us, I grabbed her wrist and twisted it hard enough to make her cry out

You’ve been asking for this for a long time,I said through gritted teeth

Anna snarled, driving her knee into my stomach. The impact forced me to let go, and I stumbled back, gasping for air. She advanced, her magic flaring dangerously, but I was ready

I ducked under her swing and swept her legs out from under her, sending her crashing to the floor. Before she could recover, I pinned her down, my forearm pressing against her throat

Had enough?I growled as my fingers extended into claws since she was using magic I was going to use my wolf

The Omega: Mated To The Four

chapter sixty Four

Anna struggled beneath me, her face red with effort, but she couldnbreak free. The witches around us were shouting now, their voices blending into a chaotic roar

Enough!”

The commanding voice cut through the noise like a blade. I looked up to see Commander Lynne pushing through the crowd, her sharp eyes narrowing as she took in the scene

What is going on here?Lynne demanded, her tone icy

I released Anna and stood, my chest heaving. She started it,I said, my voice defiant

Lynne’s gaze snapped to Anna, who was still on the floor, glaring up at me with a mix of hatred and humiliation

Get up,Lynne ordered

Anna scrambled to her feet, rubbing her wrist as she avoided Lynne’s piercing stare

The Commander turned her attention back to me, her expression unreadable. You’re a protector, Stormi, she said, her voice steady but firm. Not a bully. Your skills are meant to defend others, not to attack out of anger.”

She provoked me,I argued

I don’t care what she said,Lynne shot back. You should have walked away.”

I clenched my fists, biting back the retort that threatened to spill out

As for you,Lynne said, turning to Anna, consider yourself on probation. One more incident like this, and you’re out of this program.”

Anna’s face turned bright red, but she didn’t argue

And you,Lynne continued, her gaze settling on me once more, will spend the rest of the evening running 30 laps around the arena. After that, you’ll complete a steep uphill climb carrying weighted packs until midnight. Maybe that will teach you some discipline.”

I swallowed hard, my stomach sinking at the thought of the punishment. Fine, I said through gritted teeth

Good. Now both of you, get out of my sight.”

By the time I reached the arena, the sun was setting, casting long shadows across the open space. My legs already felt like lead as I started my first lap, the weight of the day pressing heavily on my shoulders

The arena was empty, save for a few stragglers finishing their training. I focused on the rhythm of my steps, forcing myself to keep moving even as my body screamed for rest

Lap after lap, I pushed myself forward, the ache in my muscles growing with each step. Sweat dripped down my face, stinging my eyes, but I didn’t stop

By the time I finished the 30th lap, my legs were shaking, and my chest heaved with every breath. I didn’t have time to rest, though. Lynne was waiting near the base of the hill, a weighted pack resting at her feet

You’re not done yet,she said, her voice cold

I nodded, too exhausted to argue. She handed me the pack, and I slipped it onto my back, gritting my teeth against the added weight. She then waved her wand and a hill appeared

The climb was brutal. The hill was steep, the uneven terrain making it even harder to find my footing. My legs burned with every step, and my lungs felt like they were on fire

Halfway up, I stumbled, my knees hitting the dirt

Get up,Lynne called from below. You’re not finished.”

I pushed myself to my feet, the pack digging into my shoulders as I continued the climb. Every step felt like a battle, but I refused to give up

By the time I reached the top, the sky was dark, and my body felt like it was on the verge of collapse. I dropped the pack and sank to my knees, gasping for air

Lynne appeared beside me, her expression softer than before. You’ve got potential, Stormi, she said quietly. But you need to learn control. You won’t survive out there if you let your emotions get the better of you. That’s what the shadow weaver does it feeds on your negative emotions”

I nodded, too exhausted to respond

Get some rest, she said, placing a hand on my shoulder. You’ve earned it.”
