Austin’s POV

The very air around us shuddered

Power clashed against power, so vast and ancient that it was incomprehensible to mortal minds. The battlefield that had once been filled with warriorswolves, witches, and umbrakinswas now silent as we all bore witness to something beyond their existence

I barely felt my own injuries anymore. My chest heaved, my body ached, but my eyes were fixed on the battle unfolding before us- the battle of gods

The ground trembled beneath my feet, the force of the battle so powerful it felt like the world itself was coming apart. Dust and debris filled the air, making it difficult to see, but I didn’t need my sight to know what was happening

This was the final battle

The two beings before methe Moon Goddess and the Shadow Weaverclashed with an intensity that made my wolf howl in agony. This wasn’t a fight between warriors or even supernatural beings. This was a battle of gods

I struggled to stay on my feet, my body aching from the wounds I had sustained in the fight before this. But none of that mattered now. Not when Stormi was gone

Not when everything we fought for had led to this moment

The Moon Goddess hovered in the air, her presence radiating a celestial glow so bright it was hard to look at her. Her flowing white- lavender hair cascaded down her back, and her four arms moved with a grace that was both divine and terrifying. She wielded a massive lunar spear, humming with power so ancient that even the air around her seemed to shimmer

Across from her, the Shadow Weaver writhed, her form a mass of darkness that twisted unnaturally. Her robes billowed, tendrils of black mist curling around her like living entities, hungry and malevolent. But despite her terrifying presence, there was something else in her stance, something I hadn’t expected to see

Hesitation

Pain

Loneliness

Desperation

And then the Shadow Weaver’s voice sliced through the chaos

All I wanted was your love, Mother!she screamed, her voice filled with something I never thought I’d hear from herpain. If only you, told me even once you were proud of me!

Everything stopped

Even the Moon Goddess faltered, if only for a moment

And in that moment, I understood

I had always thought of the Shadow Weaver as a monster, a force of destruction with no other purpose than to consume, corrupt, and destroy. But now I saw something else, something far more terrifying than her power

She wasn’t just a god of darkness

She wasn’t just an enemy to be defeated

She was a daughter

A daughter who had been abandoned

A daughter who had been left to rot in the abyss, forgotten and uned

The realization punched me in the gut, leaving me breathless

This wasn’t just a battle for survival

This was a reckoning

I watched as the Moon Goddess closed her eyes

For the briefest second, I saw something flicker across her facesomething I never expected to see

Regret

But it was too late

Then, the first blow was struck

The Moon Goddess moved, faster than the eye could follow. She lifted her spear, and a wave of silver light burst forth, illuminating the battlefield in an otherworldly glow

The Shadow Weaver screeched, her body twisting unnaturally to avoid the attack. Her darkness lashed out, tendrils snapping through the air like whips of pure malice. As she met the Goddess with the slashes of her sword of darkness

The ground shattered beneath their feet. The sky cracked, as if the heavens themselves couldn’t bear the force of their battle

I stumbled back, shielding his eyes from the blinding flashes of power. Everything was trembling

Everyone! Get back!Rowena’s voice rang through the battlefield, urgent and sharp

I barely had time to react before a shockwave of energy erupted from the two battling deities. I was thrown back like a ragdoll, landing hard on the ground

The howls of wolves, the cries of warriors, the roaring winds of magicit all became background noise

Because in the center of the chaos, the Moon Goddess and the Shadow Weaver clashed again

Their attacks weren’t physicalthey were pure will, pure essencelight and darkness colliding with such force that reality itself strained under the pressure

I could barely comprehend what he was witnessing.

I had fought many battles. I had seen Stormi rise and fall. I had faced death and despair

But this

This was something beyond gods and monsters

Chapter 224

This was a mother and a daughter

You shut me out! Locked me! just because I was different! I worked had to prove myself! Tell me mother are you proud!

Your were filled with darkness, evil! I created you with love and light you were my first creation! But you’re heart was filled with darkness!

I hate you! I wish you stayed dead!,She screamed and slashed snaking the goddess stumble

You’re my child, I’ve always loved. The Moon Goddess raised her spear, her movements slow, almost reluctant. And then, with one final strike, she drove the weapon straight through the Shadow Weaver’s chest

The battlefield exploded in a burst of silver light

A shockwave of energy ripped through the land, sending me flying backward. I barely had time to register the pain of hitting the ground before another wave of force slammed into me, knocking the air from my lungs

For a moment, all I could hear was a ringing in my ears

Then-

A whisper

Soft

Broken

I justwanted you to love me mother.”

Then-

Silence

The darkness faded

The chaos stilled

The storm had ended

I gasped, my body trembling as I pushed myself up from the ground. Dust filled the air, the remnants of battle lingering like ghosts. The battlefield, once filled with chaos and war, had fallen into an eerie stillness. The remnants of our warriorswolves, witches, survivorsstood in stunned silence. No one spoke

And where the Shadow Weaver had once stood-

She was gone

Nothing remained of her, not even a trace of her existence

Her final confessionher final pleahad faded into nothingness, carried away by the wind

I swallowed hard, my heart aching

This wasn’t a victory

This was a tragedy

And the world would never forget it

This was a tragedy

And the world would never forget it
