Chapter 190 Clarissa’s Manipulation
Clarissa’s words were like a bomb, shattering the already fragile peace in Kelly’s heart.
Her fingers stiffened before slowly clenching into a fist.
“So this is your new way of stirring up trouble?” Kelly sneered,
What could Zev possibly be hiding from her? That he was an undercover agent?
She had known that for a long time.
If Zev had another identity, Beau wouldn’t have let Lucas’s men torture him like that.
Kelly didn’t trust Clarissa. She didn’t trust anyone from the Lynches. Not a single word from them.
“You’re so naïve, Kelly,” Clarissa smirked, arms crossed. “Zev is the sole heir to Lockhart Group. His real name is Zion Lockhart. He’s the Lockharts‘ only grandson. And-” she paused for dramatic effect, her voice laced with triumph, “He’s also the father of my child.”
Her words weren’t just a statement. They were a declaration of ownership.
“Zev was just playing around with you,” Clarissa continued with a smirk, stepping closer. “He has a short attention span. He even told me not to reveal his identity to you. Said he’d dump you when he got bored and come home to marry me like he’s supposed to. If I were you, I’d be grateful that I’m the one warning you,” Clarissa went on, lowering her voice. “If Wade himself comes looking for you… well, he has a million ways to make your life miserable.”
Kelly stood frozen, processing the words.
Zion, the sole heir to the Lockhart Group, the youngest Lockhart. Yet, he’d risked his life as an undercover peacekeeper in Solmaris? Either Zev was insane, or Clarissa was.
Kelly didn’t want to believe it, but if it weren’t true, Ken wouldn’t have come to her first.
Ken was a senior executive at Lockhart Group. He wouldn’t lie. And he certainly wouldn’t mistake someone’s identity.
Which meant … Zev had been lying to her.
“If I were you, I’d leave Zev and walk away while I still had the chance,” Clarissa warned.
Kelly stayed silent for a long moment before meeting her gaze. “You didn’t know his real identity before that scene at IF Square, did you?” she said coldly. “You only found out recently. So what exactly gives you the right to act so high and mighty? No matter who he is, the man I married was Zev. The name on his ID, on our marriage certificate–it’s all Zev.”
Clarissa’s smirk disappeared.
“Marriage certificate?” Her expression twisted with rage.
“You actually married him?! Kelly, do you have no shame?! I’m carrying his child!”

Kelly’s lips pressed into a thin line.
“Consider this a warning,” Clarissa added. “The next time someone from the Lockharts comes knocking they won’t be as polite as me.”
With a satisfied scoff, she turned and left. As soon as she was gone, Kelly gripped the desk for support, her legs nearly giving out.
Zev… is Zion Lockhart.
Why? Why had he hidden this from her?
The fact that Clarissa had found out meant that Lucas wouldn’t be far behind.
And if Lucas learned the truth, Zev would be in serious danger.
She couldn’t afford to wait any longer.
She had to finalize her mission and head to Oasisvale as soon as possible.
Only by luring Lucas out and bringing him down could Zev truly be safe.
Her hands trembled as she reached for her phone. She called Gary.
Right now, she wasn’t angry about Zev lying to her. She wasn’t even thinking about that.
All she cared about was that Zev was in danger.
Outside Seaville Hospital
Inside a black luxury car, Wade sat with a grim expression.
Clarissa climbed in, her eyes red as she covered her face. “Wade … That woman, Kelly–she was so arrogant, she sniffled. “She said she and Zev already got married.”
Wade stiffened. His face darkened instantly.
That little b*stard. He had actually stolen the family registry and married that woman behind my back?! “The Lockharts will NEVER recognize her as one of us!” Wade growled.
Clarissa’s lips quivered. “Kelly is not a good person. She pushed my sister down, almost causing her to miscarry. And today, she even tried to hit me. If it weren’t for Ken, who knows what would’ve happened to my baby…
She turned to look at Ken, who sat in the front passenger seat.
Ken, one of Wade’s most trusted aides, blinked before quickly nodding.
