“Everyone, attack!” Sariyah’s furious command rang out.
Isaac lunged at Nolan with a powerful strike. In one swift motion, he snatched Theodore’s body from beneath Nolan’s feet and retreated, rallying the Malone Troops to charge forward as one.
The training grounds were in chaos, filled with the clash of weapons and the growing number of corpses on the ground. Nolan and his Black Flag soldiers fought relentlessly. By the end, they were covered in blood, their hands trembling from exhaustion, barely able to hold their weapons.
Isaac knew he wasn’t a match for Nolan, so he avoided direct confrontation. Instead, he quickly locked onto one of the most seriously wounded Black Flag soldiers and took the chance to stab him while he was off guard.
The blade pierced flesh.
But the Black Flag soldier was far tougher than Isaac had anticipated. Even with a pierced abdomen, he didn’t collapse. Gritting his teeth, he grabbed Isaac’s blade and swung his own sword in a desperate counterattack.
Unfortunately, the soldier’s severe injuries slowed him down too much.
“You’re dead!” Isaac reacted in time, kicked away the blade, yanked out his sword, and aimed again at the soldier’s neck.
“Die already!” he snarled, his eyes gleaming with triumph.
But just then, a flying needle shot out from behind the Black Flag soldier. In the blink of an eye, it pierced through Isaac’s skull, ending his life instantly.
With a metallic clang, his weapon dropped to the ground. Isaac looked past the Black Flag soldier in shock.
His gaze locked onto Eliza, who was standing there with a silver needle in her hand. Hovering above her was Vexara, the butterfly, which had completely tamed the killer bees. A flash of resentment crossed his face before he crumpled to the ground.
“Isaac!” Overwhelmed by one blow after another, Sariyah suddenly spat out a mouthful of blood. In an instant, she seemed to have aged dramatically.
After killing Isaac, Eliza immediately took out the magical water to save the wounded while shouting, “Vexara, attack!”
“Yes, Master!” With a flick of Vexara’s wings, the counterattack spread instantly to every bee in the swarm.
In an instant, the killer bees locked onto their new targets and dove like a dark, stinging storm.
“Aaaah!”
“The killer bees are attacking!”
“Run! Run!”
“Damn it, they’ve really taken control of the bees!”
“Where’s the sorcerer? Where’s the queen bee?”
“What do we do? What can we do?”
The training grounds descended into chaos as screams and the deafening buzz of the killer bees filled the air.
The swarm encircled every member of the Malone family.
With the killer bees aiding them, Nolan and his forces crushed the Malone Troops, forcing them into a chaotic retreat.
“Grandmother! We have to retreat now! If we don’t go, it’ll be too late!” Vance cried out, his voice trembling with fear. Unable to run due to his crippled legs, Vance pleaded desperately with Sariyah. He didn’t want to die. He wanted to live. The other members of the Malone family were too busy fleeing for their lives to even glance at him. He had no one else to turn to–only his grandmother might still care enough to save him.
However, Sariyah’s expression turned cold, her eyes flashing with ruthless determination. “Retreat? There’s no retreat left for us! Our only chance is to rally everyone in Malone City and fight to the death! That’s our only shot at survival!”
If Nolan escaped and brought the full Black Flag back, it wouldn’t just be Malone City that fell – they’d flatten the entire mountain.
As she spoke, Sariyah pulled a signal arrow from her sleeve and fired it into the sky.
The moment the arrow whistled upward, there was movement outside the city. Soon, the sound grew louder and closer. Countless footsteps came rushing in. Sariyah and the others thought the people of Malone City had answered the call.
But just then, Eliza’s expression shifted. “Your Highness, they’re here!”
Nolan instantly understood what she meant.

Sure enough, soldiers clad in black armor stormed in with unstoppable force moments later.
“Kill them! Rescue His Highness and Her Grace!” a woman shouted.
Amidst the chaos, a lithe figure darted into the Malone Troops like a panther. With every strike of her blade, she took a life, then leapt gracefully out of chaos and dropped to one knee before Eliza. “Your Grace, I’m late! I hope you weren’t frightened.”
“Tina!” Eliza’s face lit up with joy. “You’re just in time! Get up now.”
She helped Tina to her feet, but before Eliza could say anything, Tina anxiously inspected her from head to toe, her eyes filled with concern. Only after confirming that Eliza was unharmed did she finally relax. “Thank goodness you’re not injured.” Eliza said, “Don’t worry. Not only am I fine, but I’ve also gained a lot this time, all thanks to Prince Nolan’s protection.” The moment Tina arrived, Eliza’s face softened with a bright smile, and her entire demeanor became noticeably more at
ease.
Though Nolan’s presence provided a strong sense of security, she could only feel truly relaxed with Tina around.
It wasn’t just because they were both women, but also because Tina knew many of her secrets.
Nolan had no idea about that. If he ever found out, it might drive him mad.
He had spent all his time guarding against men, only to lose out to a woman he had protected.
It turned out the person Eliza trusted most wasn’t him. It was the shadow guard he had personally assigned to her.
“Thank you, Your Highness, for protecting Lady Eliza. The reinforcements have arrived. You may now end this.” Tina quickly wiped away all emotion from her face.
After saying that, she stepped silently behind Eliza, but her eyes were still fixed on Nolan, as if saying, “Why are you still standing there?”
Nolan thought, ‘Is the title “Prince Regent” so much less intimidating than “Warlord“? It feels like ever since I returned to Hasen City, no one has been afraid of me anymore. Looks like it’s time to remind everyone who I am.‘

“Stay here and protect Her Grace. I’ll take care of the rest,” Nolan declared.
With two thousand Black Flag reinforcements and a fire burning in his chest, Nolan tore through the Malone family stronghold like a storm.
Even Sariyah herself, who had tried to flee the moment the reinforcements arrived, was caught.
But Nolan didn’t bother taking many prisoners. He left only Sariyah and a few others alive and killed the rest without mercy.
