too.”

Adeline and Dale both thought these were more of Sophie’s parasites, and their faces turned pale.
There were tons of parasites. They thought they were truly doomed.
But before they could close their eyes and accept death, they suddenly heard Sophie’s panicked and furious scream. “Dammit! When did you hide so many parasites here?”
It seemed Sophie’s words were directed at Eliza.
It meant that the second wave of parasites wasn’t Sophie’s.
Finally daring to open their eyes, Dale and his wife looked carefully.

Sophie released all control, unleashing them to fight and destroy. She wanted them to tear apart both the enemy and their parasites.
But she underestimated Eliza’s “children.”
Eliza stood perfectly still, and the swarm naturally gathered around her feet in a protective ring, attacking the enemy parasites while also shielding their beloved master.
Not a single parasite dared to touch even the hem of her shoes.
At the same time, part of the swarm surrounded Adeline, Dale, and their son, shielding them as well.

Both sides lost parasites, but the expressions of the two masters couldn’t have been more different.
Eliza, though not smiling, looked completely calm as if everything was going according to plan.
Sophie, however, looked furious and desperate.
Because she could sense it. At least two–thirds of the dead parasites were hers. Something was very wrong.
Sophie snapped, “Why can you control parasites? Why do you know how to raise them? You’re not even a sorcerer!”

Wiping the blood from the corner of her mouth, Sophie stood at one side of the room, her face twisted with unwillingness as she glared at Eliza and demanded an answer.
Eliza replied, “I don’t know how to control parasites. I don’t know how to raise them. I’m not a sorcerer.”
Unlike Sophie’s frenzy, Eliza stood still, calm as ever.
Sophie responded, “Are you kidding me? Look at these parasites. How can you expect me to believe that nonsense?”
Even Adeline and Dale looked doubtful.
After all, both sides were using similar methods. They used powerful swarming parasite formations. It was obviously parasite sorcery.
Eliza said, “You don’t have to believe me. But I’m telling the truth.”
Eliza made a prayer gesture and said sincerely, “After all, a person who has left the secular world does not lie.”
Then she smiled softly and looked down at Sophie’s parasites, her eyes gleaming slightly.

The poison I put on my poisonous parasites worked perfectly this time. It was so subtle and undetectable, just right for fooling those sorcerers, Eliza thought smugly.
She slipped poison into her swarm during battle, completely unnoticed.
Indeed, two–thirds of Sophie’s parasites had been poisoned to death.
Whether they were torn apart in fighting or just brushed up against the poisonous parasites Eliza had released, they were infected. Even if they managed to kill one of the poisonous parasites, their contact meant they were marked for death.

Which was why Sophie hadn’t noticed until it was far too late.
Eliza remarked, “It seems the outcome has already been decided.”
In less than a quarter of an hour, every single parasite that belonged to Sophie had been wiped out.
She instinctively tried to summon parasites from other parts of Marquis’s estate.
