Chapter 15. Sudden Onset of Reproductive Cycle
Staring at Zvonimir’s cold face, Rishima suddenly stopped resisting. She swallowed her resentment, then lifted her head high and walked step by step toward the stairs.
Even if every wolf here looked down on her, even if Zvonimir humiliated her in front of them all, she had to maintain her dignity. She would never show him the slightest bit of weakness.
In the hall, the guests all hoped to see a proud female wolf like Rishima fall to her knees, crying and begging Zvonimir not to
abandon her.
They were all jealous of her. Rishima was beautiful, with elegance and charm, everything seemingly perfect. They wanted to see her display a pitiful, humiliated expression, to satisfy their desire to witness her disgrace.
But Rishima didn’t cry, nor did she make a scene. She merely turned back to glance at every wolf, and aside from her slightly pale face, she looked far from defeated, her eyes calm and composed.
The crowd clicked their tongues. “How boring.“.
The grand hall soon returned to its usual liveliness, with guests gathering in small groups, chatting once more. Farah, with a sweet expression, pulled Zvonimir along to toast every wolf.
After a few glasses of wine, Farah’s cheeks flushed as she gazed seductively at Zvonimir and said, “Zvonimir, I didn’t expect you to be so thoughtful in planning our mate–bonding ceremony. But I’m afraid Rishima might resent you. Ah… don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying Rishima is petty, I just worry she might be hurt.”
“Who cares about her?” Zvonimir pulled Farah close, showing no concern for Rishima. “She’s always been like that–narrow–minded, never letting go of even the smallest thing.”
“Maybe it’s because Rishima grew up an orphan, with no one to teach her.” Farah lowered her eyes, her brows furrowed slightly, as if genuinely concerned for Rishima.
She deliberately said this to make Zvonimir and every wolf else think Rishima was uncultured, lacking in
proper upbringing. Zvonimir smiled gently and said, “Farah, you’re too kind. Let’s not let her ruin our night. This is our mate–bonding ceremony party, and we should be happy.”
“Yes.” Farah obediently nodded and then snuggled into Zvonimir’s embrace like a little kitten.
Although Zvonimir really enjoyed Farah’s reliance on him, at that moment, his mind was filled with the image of Rishima.
He felt extremely frustrated. Then, he remembered four years ago, the first time he and Rishima met. Back then, Rishima’s gaze towards him was just as indifferent and distant as it had been earlier
Just now, when Rishima looked at him, he felt that she was truly calm and detached, not pretending to be okay. She genuinely wanted to sever all ties with him.
Realizing this, Zvonimir suddenly stopped in his tracks, his brows furrowing tightly. At that moment, he wanted nothing more than to rush upstairs and confront Rishima, to ask her what exactly she wanted.
Farah, sensing the sudden tightening of Zvonimir’s embrace, immediately asked with concern, “Zvonimir, what’s wrong?”
“Nothing, Zvonimir regained his composure, smiling as he gently stroked her hair, but inside, his irritation only grew, especially when he thought about how, after their severed mate bond, Rishima was constantly surrounded by other wolves. It made him feel
very uneasy.
Once the mate bonding ceremony party was over, he would definitely screw that bitch to exhaustion, so she wouldn’t have the

energy to seduce other wolves anymore!
With that thought, Zvonimir’s mood lightened a bit, and he subconsciously glanced toward the rest room upstairs. Seeing that no wolves had gone up there, he calmed down.
At that moment, Rishima was sitting on the sofa in the restroom. Two servants were standing guard outside the door; no one could enter, and she couldn’t leave, so she had no choice but to wait inside for the party to end.
Perhaps because of her pregnancy, it wasn’t even nine o’clock yet, and Rishima already felt extremely sleepy. Her whole body suddenly became weak, and she stretched out on the sofa. She didn’t know how much time had passed when Rishima suddenly noticed that her mouth felt dry, and she grew even more exhausted.
A hot, uncomfortable feeling washed over her, and Rishima immediately realized something was wrong.

Rishima tensed, her eyes flying open as she gasped for breath.
The heat in her body signaled that her reproductive cycle had begun, and she needed to find a wolf to mate with.
As Rishima was trying to think of a way to relieve the discomfort coursing through her body, there was a sudden loud “bang” as
someone kicked open the door to the rest room.
One of the wolves interested in Rishima was the one who burst into the guest room.
As a wolf, he was highly sensitive to the scent of a female wolf in heat. Earlier, he had sneaked upstairs while Zvonimir was busy with guests, but he hadn’t expected two servants to be guarding the door. No matter how much he pleaded, they refused to let him
into the guest room.
Just as he was about to leave in disappointment, he suddenly caught the scent of a female wolf’s heat coming from inside the room.
The scent of a female wolf in heat was a natural aphrodisiac for wolves. In fact, many wolves, upon catching even a whiff of this scent, would go wild and lose control, rushing toward the female wolf and forcibly mating with her.
This particular wolf was one who couldn’t control his instincts when he smelled the scent of a female wolf in heat. His eyes turned a deep red, his breathing grew heavy, and he kicked the door open.
“Sir! Sir! Please leave immediately!” The two servants, sensing the severity of the situation, rushed forward to stop the famous wolf star, but he flung them aside.
Though he was a recessive Alpha wolf, he was still an Alpha wolf, and Alpha wolves were naturally stronger. Especially in a situation like this, where the scent of a female wolf in heat heightened his strength several times over.
The two servants, being only ordinary wolves, were no match for him
The scent of the female wolf’s heat inside the guest room grew stronger. Earlier, when he was still outside, the famous wolf star had managed to maintain a bit of sanity, but once the door opened and the scent hit him fully, his reason was completely destroyed.
