Chapter 18. Scolding the Ex–Mate’s Pack
Their lips and tongues intertwined, but just then, a clattering sound came from behind the sofa.
Zvonimir immediately stopped, turning towards the noise and growled, “Who’s there? Get out here!”
“I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry… A hotel attendant emerged from behind the sofa, sheepishly holding up a fallen vase as he apologized to Zvonimir.
Zvonimir’s face darkened even more.
The attendant, knowing he shouldn’t have been in the room, put on pitiful expression: “Master Zvonimir, I didn’t mean to. I was just about to leave, but you… you closed the door… so I…”
When Zvonimir and the male star had started fighting, the two attendants had been too terrified to intervene. One of them managed to run out, but the other, unable to escape, had hidden behind the curtain.
Who could have guessed that Zvonimir would lock the door and force Rishima to mate with him?
The attendant had been squatting behind the curtain, not daring to come out. His legs had gone numb from crouching too long, and when he tried to quietly stretch them, he accidentally knocked over the vase, leading to this mess.
“Master Zvonimir, I’m really sorry. I’ll leave right away!” The attendant, terrified that Zvonimir would hold him accountable, quickly looked for an excuse to escape.
Before Zvonimir could say a word, the attendant had already opened the door.
Outside, Farah, the Blome pack, the Silverfang pack, and a crowd of people immediately rushed into the room. They were greeted by the sight of Zvonimir pinning Rishima down on the sofa. Farah’s face turned deathly pale.
The wolves saw Zvonimir and Rishima sitting together on the sofa, with Zvonimir’s arm draped possessively over Rishima’s shoulder, as if declaring to everyone that she was his mate and no one else could touch her.
What made things more glaring was how their thighs pressed closely together, their clothing slightly disheveled. Particularly noticeable was Rishima–her dress strap had slipped down, exposing her fair shoulder and part of her enticing, full chest. There were even visible kiss marks scattered along her neck and shoulder.
No one present was blind; it was obvious what Rishima and Zvonimir had just been doing in this room.
“Zvonimir, you…” Farah bit her lip, hesitant to speak. Her eyes reddened as if she were holding back immense pain, making her appear pitiable in everyone’s eyes.
Still slightly aroused, Zvonimir managed to suppress his desire and released Rishima. With a stern face, he ordered her, “Get out!”
Zvonimir’s harsh attitude towards Rishima caused Farah’s pack to collectively sigh in relief. It seemed Zvonimir didn’t hold much affection for Rishima anymore–perhaps he was only toying with her
Farat’s park had plotted for a long time to make Zvonimir favor Farah. If anything now threatened to rekindle old feelings between Zormir and Riebima, they would never let it slide.
Perah pwallowed her hatred and unwillingness, quickly approaching vonimir. She looked at him with teary eyes as though on the
rge of crying.
Her fragile, pitiful demeanor tugged at the heartstrings of several male wolves present, including Zvonimir. He felt guilt for having locked Farah outside while being intimate with Rishima in the lounge.

Extending his arm, Zvonimir pulled Farah into a comforting embrace, speaking in a low voice, “It’s my fault for causing you pain.”
Farah smiled sweetly, her expression tinged with affection. “Zvonimit, I know you didn’t mean to. Rishima’s sudden heat cycle caught you off guard. As a male, it’s only natural that you couldn’t resist the scent of a female in heat.”
Farah’s words seemed to imply that she understood Zvonimir’s actions were unintentional. However, any intelligent wolf could detect the underlying accusation: Zvonimir’s loss of control was entirely Rishima’s fault. If not for her unexpected heat cycle, he wouldn’t have acted irrationally.
Zvonimir raised an eyebrow, glancing at Rishima with a faint, unreadable smile before turning to Farah. “You’ve always been the most suitable female for me.”
Farah smiled coyly, leaning against his chest.
The two of them openly displayed their affection, whispering to each other as if no one else was around, completely disregarding Rishima.
The Silverfang pack wolves standing nearby nodded in approval, and Mrs. Ashcroft beamed with satisfaction.
Choosing Farah as the future Luna of the Silverfang pack was undoubtedly the right decision. Farah was understanding and tactful. Even when faced with an unpleasant incident during her mate–bonding party, she didn’t create a scene, preserving the dignity of both the Silverfang pack and the Blomecy pack.
If Farah and Rishima’s positions were swapped, Rishima, upon discovering Zvonimir with another female, would undoubtedly have caused a commotion, ruining the party. If such a scandal spread, the Silverfang pack’s honor would be irreparably damaged.
Mrs. Ashcroft knew Rishima’s character all too well. She was neither forgiving nor sensible.
Thus, Mrs. Ashcroft disliked Rishima even more now. Watching Rishima calmly stand up and adjust her dress strap as if nothing had happened, Mrs. Ashcroft sneered, “Rishima, what are you still doing here wasting time? Zvonimir just told you to leave, yet you’re still lingering around. Or do you still harbor intentions of seducing my son?*
The moment Mrs. Ashcroft finished speaking, all the guests turned their disdainful gazes toward Rishima. Some wolves even mocked her, “The poorer the wolves, the thicker their skin.”
“Who are you calling thick–skinned?” Rishima lifted her head, her cold eyes fixed on the wolf who had insulted her. “If Zvonimir hadn’t threatened and forced me to attend this mate–bonding party would have gladly spent my whole life never seeing any of you!
The male wolf burst out laughing at her words. “You’re saying Master Zvonimir forced you to come here? That’s hilarious! Who do you think you are? Do you still imagine Master Zvonimir loves you? Why don’t you ask him right now if he has any feelings left for
you?”
As the male finished, a female wolf added with a sneer, “Mr. Ashcroft, you’re not seriously thinking about going back to leftovers, are you?”
Mrs. Ashcroft’s hatred for Rishima deepened as the crowd began to dig up Zvonimir’s past relationship. She didn’t wait for Zvonimir to respond to their questions before barking angrily, “Guards! Escort Ms. Watson out immediately!”
