The Alpha’s Possession 19
“There’s no need to call the guards. I can leave on my own.” Rishima’s lips curled into a bitter smile. She turned to Zvonimir, saying, “Master Zvonimir, you’re truly bold, pushing all the blame onto me. I despise you!”
With that, she didn’t spare him another glance, quickly making her way to the exit.
“Wait.” Farah suddenly stopped Rishima, preventing her from leaving
Rishima looked at Farah’s smiling face, sensing an ominous scheme hidden behind that grin.
As expected, before Rishima could say a word, Farah gently persuaded her, “Rishima, I know you still can’t forget Zvonimir, but love cannot be forced. Right now, the female Zvonimir loves is me, and I love him too. So I hope you won’t cling to him and lower yourself to becoming a concubine.”
“Concubine?”
Rishima laughed, locking eyes with Farah and enunciating every word:
“Farah, I am not the concubine–you are! Zvonimir and I broke off our mate bond less than a month ago, yet here you are, an mate–bonding party with him. Doesn’t that prove you and he have been having an affair all along?!”
hosting
“I didn’t… Rishima, I’m just trying to help you. You don’t need to twist my good intentions.” Farah bit her lip, looking aggrieved, her eyes filling with unshed tears.
Farah’s pitiful, obedient demeanor made Mrs. Ashcroft and the other guests feel sorry for her, and they immediately shot reproachful looks at Rishima, as if she had bullied Farah.
Rishima pressed her lips tightly together, her hands balling into fists Her chest heaved violently with anger so intense it felt as though it might burst from her in a bloody scream.
She had been enduring everything tonight, believing that her patience would make things better. Even when Zvonimir locked her in a lounge earlier, humiliating her, she gritted her teeth and bore it–because she didn’t want to be mocked by the other wolves.
But now, she had become their laughingstock. And she realized she didn’t need to endure any longer.
Zvonimir often berated her as a sharp–tongued witch. Ha! If she continued to hold back, wouldn’t she be unjustly bearing his accusations? He called her sharp–tongued–then she’d show him just how terrifying a sharp–tongued witch could be.
With that thought, Rishima slowly curled her lips into a smile, a mocking expression spreading across her exquisite face. “Miss Farah Thorne, stop pretending. You seduced my mate and now you dare act all magnanimous, advising me not to become a concubine? Your behavior is no different from that of a harlot seeking forgiveness in a church!”
“You…!” Farah clearly hadn’t expected Rishima to publicly call her a harlot in front of all the wolves. Her face went pale, then contorted in anger.
Rishima ignored Farah and turned to Mrs. Ashcroft, laughing coldly. And you, Mrs. Ashcroft! You’ve always blamed me for not bearing wolf pups for Zvonimir, but have you forgotten why my womb is damaged? It was because of Zvonimir! If I hadn’t taken that bullet for him back then, the Silverfang pack wouldn’t even have an Alpha heir today!”
The words ‘no Alpha heir” from Rishima’s mouth struck Mrs. Ashcro Mfs. Ashcroft pointed an accusing finger at Rishima, shouting, “You Alpha heir!

Seeing this, Zvonimir frowned. He grabbed Rishima by the arm and roughly pushed her out of the room. “Enough! Get out! Stop humiliating us!”
“I’m not leaving! I’m not finished yet,” Rishima snapped, shaking off Zvonimir’s hand and glaring at him.
Zvonimir’s face darkened as he barked, “Rishima, behave yourself. Don’t provoke me!”
This was the threat of an Alpha. As soon as Zvonimir roared, Rishima nearly buckled under the pressure, but she stood firm.
They had been mates for three years, so Rishima knew exactly what angering Zvonimir would lead to. In the past, she would have submitted. But now, she simply couldn’t endure it any longer.
She had been cornered by Zvonimir’s pack. At this moment, all she wanted was to voice the grievances weighing on her heart. She didn’t care if her reputation was ruined–she just wanted to turn the Silverfang pack into a laughingstock across the entire empire!
She never wanted to be the villain, but Zvonimir had forced her to be one.
“Zvonimir, you know my nature better than anyone, yet you still forced me to attend this revolting mate–bonding ceremony between you and Farah, exposing me to the humiliation of the entire pack. So, I’ve made my choice long ago–I will no longer uphold the honor of your pack.”
Rishima’s furious gaze pierced Zvonimir, her gray eyes sparkling with rage, making her look stunningly seductive.
Zvonimir froze, his desire igniting once more, his Adam’s apple bobbing involuntarily.
But in the next moment, Rishima said something that made him want to strangle her.
Rishima spoke each word deliberately: “Zvonimir, you have the guts to do it, but not to admit it. How revolting.”
With that, Rishima turned on her heel and walked away without hesitation.
The lounge fell into silence. No one spoke, and the atmosphere became oppressively awkward.
Everyone assumed Rishima’s presence at the party was to humiliate herself for her audacity, but no one anticipated her boldly insulting Miss Farah Thorne as a prostitute, calling Master Zvonimira coward, and even provoking Mrs. Ashcroft to the brink of a heart attack.
Mrs. Ashcroft clutched her chest, her breathing ragged with anger, and scolded the staff, “Why are you all just standing there? Why didn’t you stop her?! She’s a disgrace! She dared to curse the Silverfang pack, saying we have no Alpha heir. I’ll punish her. Capture her immediately!”
Only a handful of wolves among the guests sided with Mrs. Ashcroft
Never before had they seen her so furious. To most of the wolves, Ms. Ashcroft was always elegant and noble. No one had ever witnessed her lose composure or utter profanities like this.
