Felicity’s POV
It felt as if an invisible hand had mercilessly slapped me across the face, the sting of humiliation swallowing me whole.
My legs gave out beneath me, and I collapsed onto the floor in a pathetic, undignified heap.
A passing nurse hurried over, concern etched on her face. Seeing the tears streaking down my cheeks, she mistook them for pain and gently comforted me.
“Luna Felicity, please don’t cry. If Alpha Dorian sees you like this, he’ll be heartbroken.”
Looking at the worried expressions of the nurses, I could no longer hold back my emotions. I broke . down, sobbing uncontrollably.
Only after exhausting myself with tears did I return to my room and drift into sleep.
When I woke, Dorian was still nowhere to be seen. Instead, Rosalie stood at the foot of my bed, her expression dark.

At my question, Rosalie smirked and held up three fingers, her voice laced with triumph.
“Three years. He met me at a mate gathering three years ago. I was in heat at the time, and we instantly clicked. He ravished me all night long. But when he returned, he felt guilty toward you. That’s why he transferred all the pack’s assets into your name, letting you manage them. But those things were meant for me and our child–you stole them from us.”
I bit down hard on my lip to suppress the overwhelming urge to strike her.
Rosalie, emboldened by my silence, continued arrogantly.
“Did you really think he loves you? Every night after you fall asleep, he comes to me. Even now, while I’m pregnant, he can’t keep his hands off me. And do you remember the night you lost your baby? He wasn’t at some Alpha gathering like he claimed he was in my bed, making love to me. He’s completely addicted to me. If you have any dignity left, you should sever your mate bond with him.”

Her words struck like a dagger, twisting deep into my heart.
That night… The pain had been unbearable. I had blacked out multiple times and nearly died from
blood loss.
The pack doctor had mind–linked Dorian countless times, but he never responded.
When he finally returned the next day, he had knelt by my bedside, tears streaming down his face, blaming himself for not being there. He had even slapped himself repeatedly, as if punishing his own negligence.
But the truth was, while I lay dying, he had been in another woman’s arms.
In that moment, whatever little hope I had left shattered completely.
Seeing my defeated expression, Rosalie’s smugness only grew. She placed her hands on her hips and declared triumphantly:
“Tomorrow, Dorian will be holding a grand mating ceremony for me–one even more extravagant than the one he gave you. Be sure to attend our wedding feast!”
With that, she strutted out of the room, her chin held high like a victorious queen.
As I watched her retreating figure, a stabbing pain spread through my chest. The next second, darkness consumed me, and I collapsed unconscious.
When I woke the next morning, the first thing I saw was Dorian sitting beside me, his eyes red from
worry.
The moment he saw me stir, he pulled me into his arms, his voice trembling.
“Felicity, you’re finally awake. You scared me to death.”
Images of what I had seen in the storage room flashed through my mind, and a wave of nausea rolled over me. I shoved him away.
“I’m fine.”
Dorian stiffened at my rejection, a flicker of hurt flashing in his eyes.
I met his gaze, my heart heavy, and finally asked the question that had been weighing on me for days.
“Do you remember what I told you before you marked me?”
Before our mating ceremony, I had told him–if he ever fell in love with someone else, he should

tell me. I would step aside willingly.
But if he ever deceived me, I would disappear from his world forever.
Without hesitation, Dorian nodded.
“Why are you asking me this all of a sudden? Did I do something to upset you?”
His expression turned serious as he stood up and turned toward his Beta.
“Bring every woman I’ve interacted with recently.”
Minutes later, my hospital room was filled with over a dozen women–nurses, maids… and Rosalie.
She rested a hand on her belly, her eyes gleaming with provocation.
Dorian clasped his hands behind his back and ordered sternly:
“Tell Luna Felicity how you’ve interacted with me lately. Be as detailed as possible.”
One by one, they spoke.
“Luna Felicity, the last time I interacted with Alpha Dorian was when I delivered your meal plans.”
“Luna Felicity, Alpha Dorian asked me to bring your aromatherapy oils from the pack house. That’s the only time we met.”
“Luna Felicity, I was called in to replace your IV when it was running low. That was my only interaction with Alpha Dorian.”
Each response revolved around me. Their eyes held admiration, even envy.
Then, it was Rosalie’s turn.
She spoke calmly, her tone casual.
“Since delivering the fruit basket and flowers yesterday, I haven’t had any contact with Alpha
Dorian. Don’t worry, Luna Felicity–Alpha Dorian only has eyes for you.”
