Catelyn jumps up on her feet and quickly comes to grab the tea. She sniffs it herself. And then looks at me as if she didn’t know what’s inside.
“Who made this tea? Tell me.” She demands, slamming her palm on the desk.
“Cat, calm down,” The Alpha rubs her arms gently and then pulls away from his desk. His face tightens with fury or fear–1 can’t understand. He turns to me and looks down, “Tell me, who prepared this tea?”
Words catch themselves in my throat as my cars fill with their fast, tumbling breaths. Everything around me appears and disappears at the same time.
I didn’t think what I’d do or say if I got caught.
“Oh, I think we all know who did it,” Catelyn grabs my arm. “She probably wanted to get rid of you-*
“No, I-“I try to defend myself, but the words are swallowed back down by the terror in my mind.
What is this? Why is this?
“There’s definitely a culprit among us. However, a runt wouldn’t even be able to get such sort of a potent herb,” Lucas interrupts, and the Alpha agrees. “Unless someone gave it to her.”
I remain quiet, but inside my head, my thoughts are scattered everywhere, and none of them are complete. I want to scream out loud about who the real culprit is. I want to blame Catelyn. But her hand is around me. Her claws, out, and digging into my skin, drawing blood out.
“Of course, it’s her,” Catelyn speaks, her voice a little nervous. “She has it out for me since the day I came here. What’s there to say that she didn’t do this? She despises everyone. And she’s a runt above all.”
The Alpha is suspicious. He watches Catelyn. At first and then at me.
“Did you do this?”
I shake my head, “No.”
“She’s lying,” Catelyn snaps, squeezing harder into my wrist.
Alpha Elias‘ expression tightens, his lips line in thought before turning to Catelyn. I wish they could see Catelyn’s other side, the one I’ve seen or the one I heard. How she tried to poison the Alpha, how she wants him dead and gone.
Not just that, she is sleeping with Ezra. And they both want to kill the Alpha.
“Don’t lie, Rhea. Just tell the truth and you might just be spared.”
“I didn’t do anything.”
A warm trickle of blood runs over my arm. The Alpha turns away, having a moment with himself. In the same time, Catelyn tugs me closer to herself before shoving her hand down my pocket. She pulls out the vial she gave me and raises it into the
air.

“No-“I almost whisper.
“Liar,” She whispers back into my ear and shoves me aside. “She had this.”

The Alpha and the Beta both turn and see the vial in her hand, which she displays so blatantly. My breath clings to my throat, forcing me to heave heavily. I stare at them as everything unfolds.
Lucas takes the vial from Catelyn and sniff’s it. “It is Lupivora,” He says, looking at the Alpha and then at me. “You tried to kill him?” He points his question at me.
My answer slips out from my throat, weak and suffocated. “N–no.”
Silence drops in the room as I stare right into their eyes–the three of them, their eyes fixed on me. The Alpha growls with rage before stepping forward.
“You tried to poison your alpha, Rhea. Do you understand the implications? You’re going to die for this. He speaks to me, and every single word feels heavy on my chest because I don’t know why this had to happen or how.
No–because it wasn’t me. I didn’t do it. But no one believes me.
I want to prove it. I want to say it. But what can I say?
The first wave of tears rolls out of my eyes. I wipe them aside before shaking my head. I open my mouth to say a few words, but I’m instantly cut off.
“Take her down to the cellar, impending my decision.” Alpha Elias walks behind his desk and sits, “Lock her inside there and make sure no one comes by there.” He tells the beta, Lucas, with a strict authority in his voice.
“Understood.” Beta Lucas nods and walks closer before roughly pulling my arm up. I’m pulled away from the ground. My whole body begins to resist.
“No, I didn’t do it.” I cry and struggle. “I–I didn’t do it.”
Everything crashes down on me the more I speak. Because no one is listening to me, only my protests echo in the room, in the silence. Lucas drags me out. I resist as much as I can, but against a Beta, there’s no point. He pulls me down the stairs while I scream and beg.
People begin to collect near the staircase, watching me with horrifying eyes. Many come out of the training arena. Most are confused by the spectacle, others shake their heads as if being me in such an offence is something unbearable.
“I didn’t do it.” I sob as my voice begins to tire out.
No one cares.
No one seems to want to care. They will believe what they are shown and nothing else.
Lucas takes me to the cellar. The males from the training grounds come out and see me as I’m dragged out. I shout, scream, and thrash about, begging to be let free. I swear that it was Catelyn. She’s framing me. She’s evil. She did this. But none seem to believe that.
The more I scream, the louder they laugh.
When I reach the cold cellar, Lucas loosens his grip on my arm. “There’s no point of you causing a scene, Rhea. There’ll be a trial, and you’ll be free if you’re proven innocent. But if you aren’t,” He doesn’t finish the sentence. “Well, you know what will happen then.”
I shake my head, “I didn’t do anything. It was Catelyn. She wanted me to do this. She told me.”
He forces me down onto the ground before shackling up my hands and feet. I try to tug away and yell at him, but he doesn’t

listen. Everything is quiet. Every inch of my being shakes. He locks me up before going back up the stairs and leaving.
When the door shuts, everything goes dark. There’s only one small torch hanging on the wall far above, emitting just a tiny amount of light. Under the light, I see the table across the room. The table, which was once filled with stuff and that–poison -is now cleared. There’s nothing on it.
Nothing at all.
Catelyn went through and cleaned up everything. Whatever evidence that was there is gone now.
