Chapter Twenty Nine
The hallway was bustling after lunch, students chattering and rushing to their next classes. I was making my way to English when i felt a sudden, sharp tug on my arm. Before I could protest, I was pulled into the dimly lit janitor’s closet.
“What the “I started, but the door slammed shut behind me, and I was face–to–face with Isaiah.
“Missed me?” he asked, his lips twitching into a smirk.
“Isaiah,” I hissed, glaring at him. “What the hell are you doing?”
He leaned against the door, his broad shoulders blocking my only exit. “You’re not beingfair,” he said, his tone more serious now. “The twins, Elijah–they’ve all had their moments with you. But me? He took a step closer, his blue eyes locking onto mine. “I’m tired of being left out.”
“Maybe it’s because I don’t care,” I shot back, crossing my arms.
His smirk only deepened. “You don’t care, huh?”
Before I could respond, he closed the distance between us, his hand tilting my chin up. Then, without warning, his lips were on mine.
The kiss was firm, demanding, and completely unexpected. For a moment, I froze, caught off guard by the intensity of it. Then I found my voice–or at least my strength–and pushed him back.
“Isaiah!” I said, my voice a mixture of anger and disbelief.
“Just one more,” he murmured, his hand sliding to my waist as he pulled me closer again.
This time, his kiss was slower, more deliberate. Against my better judgment, I found myself responding, my hands gripping his shoulders for balance as he lifted me effortlessly. My legs instinctively wrapped around his waist, and his hand slipped under my shirt, his touch warm against my skin.
Reality snapped back into focus.
“Stop,” I said, pushing at his chest, my voice breathless.
He sighed but set me down gently, his hands lingering for just a moment before he stepped back. “Sorry,” he said, though his expression told me he wasn’t sorry at all.
I straightened my shirt, glaring at him. “This is ridiculous. You can’t just-”
The door opened abruptly, and we both turned to see Alex and Austin standing there, identical smirks plastered across their faces.
“Where have you two been?” Alex asked, his eyes darting between us.
“Nowhere,” I snapped, my cheeks flushing red.
Isaiah just chuckled, brushing past them and leaving me standing there, flustered and irritated.
“Come on,” Austin said, grabbing my hand before I could slip away.
“What now?” I asked, trying to pull free, but Alex grabbed my other hand, effectively trapping me between them.
“You’re coming with us,” Alex said, his grin widening.

Chapter Twenty Nine
“I have class,” I protested, but they were already leading me down the hallway.
“You won’t die if you miss a couple of classes,” Austin said dismissively. The next thing I knew, I was in the backseat of Elijah’s Jeep, wedged between the twins as Isaiah and Elijah occupied the front.
“This is kidnapping,” I muttered, crossing my arms as the Jeep sped down the road.
“No, this is quality time,” Alex corrected, throwing an arm around my shoulders.
I shrugged him off, glaring at the back of Elijah’s head. “And where exactly are we going?”
“You’ll see,” Elijah said, his tone maddeningly calm.
Twenty minutes later, we pulled up to the twin’s house, surrounded by dense woods. I hesitated, but the twins practically dragged me out, their excitement contagious despite my annoyance
Inside, the house was warm and inviting, They led me down a hallway to a room that looked more like a mini movie theater than a typical living space.
A massive screen dominated one wall, with plush couches and beanbags scattered across the floor.
“What is this?” I asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Our personal theater,” Austin said proudly, flopping onto one of the couches.
“We figured it was about time you spent some time with us,” Alex added, pulling me toward the center of the room.
“I didn’t exactly have a choice,” I muttered, but they ignored me, busying themselves with picking out a movie.
“Sit,” Isaiah said, patting the space next to him.
“I’m fine standing,” I replied.
“Suit yourself,” he said with a shrug, leaning back as the movie started. About halfway through the movie, I found myself sitting, after all, sandwiched between Alex and Austin. Despite my initial resistance, their warmth and the softness of the couch were too
much to resist.
They’d shifted into their wolf forms at some point, their massive bodies pressed against mine. I wanted to be annoyed, to tell them to give me space, but there was something oddly comforting about their presence. Elijah and Isaiah were sprawled out on the floor in their wolf forms, their golden eyes occasionally flicking toward me. As the lay their heads on my legs.
“Do you guys always watch movies like this?” I asked, my voice softer than I intended.
“Only when it’s important,” Alex said, his voice a low rumble in my mind.
“And this is important?” I asked.
“You’re important,” Austin said simply, his wolfish gaze meeting mine.
I didn’t know how to respond to that, so I stayed quiet, letting their presence surround me.
As the credits rolled, I realized I’d relaxed more than I thought possible.“Alright,” I said, standing up and brushing imaginary lint off my pants. “This has been… something. But I need to get home.”
“Stay a little longer,” Alex said, his voice almost pleading.

“I can’t,” I replied, though part of me was tempted
1 walked to the door and opened it for them. “Now go and shifted baly and take me home, I did i could they a most cases I’d just leave and tell them to leave me alone but I dont know why 1 said they should take me. They goes filed something I couldn’t quite name,
“Next time, just say yes when we invite you,” Isaiah said 1 pictured him smirking
1 rolled my eyes but couldn’t stop the small smile that tugged at my lips as I left.
Maybe they weren’t so bad after all.
