The Omega: Mated To The Four

Chapter Hundred and Three

The moment the car screeched to a stop, my stomach lurched

Before my mates could say anything, I threw the door open and stumbled out onto the sidewalk, barely making it before I vomited onto the pavement

The world around me spun, the ground tilting beneath my feet. I gripped my knees, trying to steady my breath

Behind me, my mates weren’t doing much better

Austin staggered out, one hand braced against the car as he groaned Never again.”

Isaiah wobbled, blinking rapidly. That wasawesome.”

Alex simply slumped against the hood of the car, rubbing his temples. I think my soul just got left behind somewhere over the Atlantic.”

Elijah was the only one who managed to stay somewhat composed, though even he looked like he was still reeling from the journey. He walked over to me, concern flashing in his eyes

Stormi,he said, crouching next to me. Are you okay?”

1 wiped my mouth with the back of my hand and shot him a look

No,I muttered. I feel like my insides got scrambled.”

Elijah let out a breath, then gently placed a hand on my back, rubbing slow circles

We should sit for a bit,Isaiah suggested. Let the world stop spinning before we move.”

So we did

For a while, we simply sat on the sidewalk, waiting for the dizziness to fade

When I finally lifted my head and took in my surroundings, I realized something

We had no idea where we were

The streets were narrow and paved with old cobblestones, lit by the soft glow of antique street lamps. The buildings lining the streets were a mix of modern and historical architecture, giving the entire place a timeless feel

The air was crisp and cool, carrying the scent of freshly baked bread and something sweet. In the distance, I could hear the hum of people chatting and the clinking of dishes from nearby restaurants

Austin, who had been stumped against the car, suddenly perked up. He dug into his pocket and pulled out his phone

Right

Cell phones

I had forgotten these things existed

Ever since we entered the Uncharted Realm, technology had been useless. No cell towers. No satellites. No service. But now…

Chapter Hundred and Three

We’re in Slovenia,Austin announced after a moment, staring at his screen. Ljubljana, to be exact.”

Slovenia

We were in Europe

It felt unreal

I was still processing this when Alex walked up to me, holding out a bottle of water

Here,he said, his voice softer than usual. You need to drink something.”

I took the bottle with a nod, twisting off the cap and gulping it down

As I drank, Alex folded his arms and grinned

You know what’s weird?he said

I raised an eyebrow. Everything?”

Okay, yeah, but listen,Alex continued. When I went into that shop over there to buy this water, I pulled out a hundreddollar billand guess what?”

What?Isaiah asked

Alex held up a small piece of foreign currency

It changed.”

Elijah frowned. Changed?”

Alex nodded. The second I pulled the money out, it just shifted into whatever currency they use here. I didn’t even have to do anything.”

Austin’s eyebrows shot up. That’s convenient.”

That’s not even the strangest part,Alex added. When the cashier spoke to me, I could understand him. But not in the way where you kind of get the gist of what someone is saying. I mean, it was like he was speaking perfect English.”

Isaiah tilted his head. Maybe he was speaking English.”

No,Alex shook his head. I swear I was speaking his language. The words just came out, and I didn’t even have to think about it.”

1 narrowed my eyes, the realization clicking

This must be Eira’s doing.I muttered

Elijah rubbed his jaw. She must’ve cast a spell on us before we left

Isaiah smirked. Guess she really thought of everything ”

By the time we had gathered our bearings, night had fallen

It didn’t make sense to go looking for the cave while it was dark, so we decided to find a place to stay for the night and head ou the morning

Chapter Hundred and Three

Luckily, there were plenty of hotels nearby. We found a cozylooking one on a quieter street, with warm lights glowing from the windows. The sign read Hotel Stari Trg,which, thanks to Eira’s magic, I could actually understand

The moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by a kindlooking woman at the front desk

Austin walked up and took care of the checkin, thanks to our newfound ability to speak the language fluently

Soon, we were handed our keys

We’ll take two rooms,Elijah decided, Two per room.”

All of my mates turned to me at once

Austin smirked. Guess that means you’re bunking with one of us, princess.”

Isaiah grinned. Dibs.”

Alex shot him a glare. Excuse me?”

I sighed, rubbing my temples. No.”

Austin raised an eyebrow. No?”

No,I repeated firmly. I’m getting a room by myself.”

Four pairs of eyes stared at me. It’s not that I didn’t want to sleep with any of my mates but I was on my period and didn’t feel like having them all up in my space

Elijah,I said, turning to the most reasonable of the group. Please tell them.”

Elijah hesitated, then sighed. She’s right. We all need space to rest

Austin groaned. Ugh. Fine.”

With that settled, I finally got to retreat to my own room

The space was small but cozy, with a queensized bed, a wooden desk, and a small balcony overlooking the quiet street below

As soon as the door clicked shut behind me, I let out a long breath

For the first time since we started this insane journey, I was alone, kicked off my shoes and flopped onto the bed, staring at the ceiling

Then, I reached into my bag and pulled out the stone fragment

I turned it over in my hands, running my fingers along the rough, broken edges

What are you?I murmured

I still had no idea what this fragment was, but deep down, I knew it was important. Maybe the cave would give us answers

I sighed and set it down on the nightstand

Then, I pulled out something I hadn’t touched in months

Chapter Hundred and Three

My phone

I tried turning it in but the battery was dead. I hesitated, then reached into my bag and pulled out the charger

I wasn’t even sure if it would turn on after all this time

But as soon as I plugged it in…

The screen lit up

And with it-

A photo appeared. That Mariah and I had taken during the lunar Redemption Day

For a second, my breath caught in my throat

She had given me this phone. And now, she was gone

I swallowed hard, my chest aching. I took a deep breath, turned off the screen, and closed my eyes

Tomorrow, we would find that cave. And we would figure out this riddle
