We didn’t waste time

After the unsettling enunter at the mins of the Silvermoon massa in site, we climbed back into the car, the engine mating as Isaiah set our course toward the Sacred Hall. No one spoke much dong the drive. The weight of what we had just experienced chong to us like shindows, whispering in the back of our minds

1 sat in the back, staring out the window as the darkened trees for part. The night teemed deeper here, as if the very borvet knew we were approaching something ancient, something perwerful. The farther we drove, the denser the frees baran, their thick branches stretching overbend like skeletal fingers, blocking on the moonlight. Even the air grew heavier, thick with a strange energy that set my nerves on edge

The tires crunched over the uneven dirt path as we pressed on, the headlights cutting through the darkness ahead. A hush had fallen over the world around usmo distant hints, no rustling leaves not even the chirp of crickets. Just silence. The kind that prickled at the skin and warned of unseen eyes luth

Hours passed in tense quiet

When we finally reached the Sacred Hall, the sight of it stole my breath

It was a massive structure, hidden deep within the heart of the woods, its oncegrand walls now overtaken by nature, Vines curled around towering columns, moss crept along cracked stone, and the air carried the scent of damp earth and forgotten history. The plate radiated an aura of age and mystery, as if it had existed long before the world as we knew it

The entrance loomed before us, guarded

arded by four uesmassive

statues-

wolves, each carved

dark stone. Their hollow eye stared from

eyes ahead, empty yet piercing, as if they could see straight into our souls. They weren’t just statues; they were something more. Guardians. Watchers. Their presence sent a chill down my spine

Isalah killed the engine

No one moved at first

Austin broke the silence with a hesitant breath. Sodo we just walk in?”

Elijah studied the statues warily, his jaw tightening. Nothing about this place says walk right in.”

I stepped forward, drawn to the entrance despite the unease curling in my stomach. My fingers brushed against the ancient carvings lining the stonework. They felt warmalive, almost as though centuries of magic still pulsed beneath the surface. A faint hum thrummed beneath my fingertips, resonating with something deep inside me

And then, as the clock struck midnight-

The statues moved

A low, earthshaking rumble filled the air as cracks formed along their rigid forms. The sound of stone grinding against stone sent a shudder through me as the wolves shifted, their bodies awakening from centuries of stillness. Glowing silver, eyes blinked open, casting an eerie light in the darkness. Then, in unison, they stepped down from their pedestals, their massive forms blocking the

entrance

Alex took a step back, cursing under his breath. Oh, hell no.”

The largest of the wolves lifted its head, its voice deep and reverberating through the night

Only the worthy may enter.”

The others growled, their hindous eyes flicking between us, judging We weren’t simply visitors here we were intruders

Isaiah swallowed hard. I knew this wasn’t going to be easy.—

The lead wolt continued, its voice ancient, filled with an authority that made my skin prickla

The Sacred Hall does not grant passage freely. To enter, you must prove yourselves.”

Austin exhaled sharply, running a hand through his hair. Great. And how exactly do we do that?”

The wolves shifted, their massive bodies moving into formation. The fender spoke again
