Nolan had no idea that his subordinates were caught between feeling happy for him and worrying about him.
Still, he was in high spirits as he made his way to Mount Westin

“Serenity.” Nolan’s voice suddenly rang out at the entrance of the courtyard
Eliza, who was busy tidying up the two herb gardens in the yard, turned around quickly at the sound of his voice. The moment she saw Nolan, her face lit up with joy
She asked. “You’re back already?”
Earlier, when she learned that Nolan had uncovered some leads and needed to leave Hasen City for a while, she thought it might take him several days to return
To her surprise, it had only been four days, and he was already back,
Seeing her smile, Nolan’s lips curved into a faint grin. It was hard not to feel lighter around her. “Yeah, it’s all sorted for now! After the foreign spy leader escaped, Nolan had gone to the Henderson family estate for a “visit” Unfortunately, after two days of waiting, he still hadn’t caught the target.
Perhaps Fletcher had already anticipated his moves and warned the spy in advance.
Or maybe the escaped foreign leader never intended to go to the Henderson estate at all.
But regardless of the reason, Nolan wasn’t worried.
He still had a foreign captive in his hands. Once he extracted the tracking parasite from them, he could trace the whereabouts of the spy leader.
He might even use the tracking parasite to test Fletcher.
With Ross handling things and everything in place, Nolan could finally let go of the small stuff and take a breather.
This meant Nolan could finally take a few days to rest.
Eliza immediately noticed the dark circles under Nolan’s eyes as he approached.
“You look like you haven’t slept in days. Is work really that overwhelming?” She frowned slightly as she spoke, her tone unconsciously laced with concern, and perhaps even a trace of heartache.
“You’ve caught me.” Nolan sighed, feigning helplessness. “I ran into those escaped foreigners from the Duke’s estate and ended up chasing them down with my troops. Things got a little… Intense.”
He raised a hand to his eyes, putting on a pitiful act. “I think my old condition might be flaring up again.”
If Ross were here, his reaction would undoubtedly be one of complete bewilderment.
He would think, ‘Wait, didn’t you just say you weren’t having an episode?
So now it’s suddenly “flaring up because the Holy Lady’s here? Really?”
Oh, I see. Only Your Grace gets to know, right?”
Because there was still some distance between them, Eliza couldn’t see his eyes clearly. She instinctively leaned in closer, her soft breath brushing against him as she studied his bloodshot eyes.

“Then what is it?” Eliza asked, her gaze filled with curiosity.
With a hint of righteous indignation, Nolan replied, “Maybe it’s because I’ve been fighting too much lately. Seeing blood just makes it harder to keep things under control,”
Eliza said, “Alright, noted.”
She thought, ‘Well, there in’t much I can do about it.
After all, His Highness is hunting down foreigners who had infiltrated Bortenland.
“Taking decisive action to prevent their escape is understandable…
But in the end, Nolan still found himself on the receiving end of a playful “scolding” from Eliza. “So, Your Highness, didn’t Dr. Larson already tell you to rest and avoid killing while you’re on medication? Seems like you tossed her advice straight out the window,”
