“I know! I’ll show you the way!” Eliza’s face lit up with excitement at the mention of stargazing
“Alright then, you lead the way, and I’ll carry you there”
“But I’m heavy! You’ll get tired if you carry me.”

“That weakling? He’s not even as strong as Anthony. Don’t listen to him. Trust me, Eliza, you’re not heavy at all. Even when you grow up, I will still be able to carry you!”

“Now, who’s the best? Is it Benedict or me?”
“Both of you are great!”
“Clearly, I’m the best!”
That night, the two siblings ventured out to the countryside and spent the entire evening stargazing. Naturally, they got an earful when they returned, but neither of them cared. They’d had their perfect night under the stars.
When Benedict saw the bump on Eliza’s head, he merely glanced at it, called for a doctor, and, for once, said nothing. He didn’t punish Dylan either.
It wasn’t until now that Dylan suddenly understood,

Sitting at the gates of Saint Grace Nunnery, Dylan snapped out of his childhood memories, his eyes brimming with regret and anguish.

did them.
The sister they once cherished became the girl they couldn’t bear to face.
And yet, Eliza had never changed, not even a little.
It was their fault. They had hurt her too deeply, and that was what led them to this point.
This time, Eliza truly felt the pain. So she left.
So she left.
She didn’t want anything to do with them anymore. She didn’t want anything to do with Dylan anymore.
Dylan suddenly raised his hand to cover his face.
In the cold, desolate night, sitting on the icy steps, he wept uncontrollably, all alone.
Hot tears streamed through his fingers, drenching his very soul. “Eliza, I’m sorry. I’m the worst brother… I failed you, Eliza… failed you completely.”
Inside Saint Grace Nunnery.
In the small courtyard.
That night, Eliza had a rare dream about her childhood.
When she woke up, it was still pitch dark outside.
For some reason, she couldn’t fall back asleep.
After lying quietly in bed for a while, she got up, dressed, and stepped out into the courtyard.
“So there are stars tonight” Eliza lifted her gaze to the night sky.
Most of the stars had already faded, but a few stubborn ones still twinkled brightly in the darkness.
Looking at those stars, a faint smile unknowingly appeared on her lips.
But, unfortunately, that smile didn’t last long.
“Serenity.” Tina appeared beside her. “Why are you awake?”

Eliza turned to see Tina, her figure cloaked in the chill of the night. “I had a dream and woke up. Couldn’t fall back asleep. so I came out for some air”
She untied the warm cloak draped over her shoulders and fastened it around Tina. “If you’re cold, go rest inside. Don’t worry, I’ve set up some precautions around the area.”
Tina chuckled softly. “Got it, thanks.”
She turned her head to the sky, her gaze landing on the same few stars. “It’s quite a starry night. Someone even climbed up the mountain to watch them.”
Her words seemed to carry a hidden meaning.
At first, Eliza didn’t catch on, but it didn’t take long for her to realize who that “someone” was.
She fell silent, her thoughts drifting back to the childhood dream she’d just had. In the end, all she could muster was a simple, indifferent response, “Whatever, it’s his choice.”
