We moved fast, following Alexander’s directions. Everything was going smoothly. We rescued all the prisoners, as soon as we reached the open courtyard just outside the facility I quickly opened the lunar veil and they all started going through.
But it was going too smoothly.
A slow, mocking clap echoed across the space.
I turned sharply, and there she was.
Commander Lynne.
She stood tall wearing a military uniform,, her piercing blue eyes locked onto me with deadly intent. She was flanked by armed human soldiers.
“Well, well, well,” she drawled. “The Silver Wolf lives. How disappointing.”
My lips curled into a snarl. “Funny, I was about to say the same about you.”
She tilted her head, expression darkening. “I’ve been wanting to kill you myself.”
I smiled coldly. “I used to think you liked me when you trained me.
“I hate dogs.“she snared “Always have.”
The air between us thickened, charged with unspoken promises of violence.
The soldiers stood behind her, but I barely paid them any attention. They weren’t the real threat.
She was. She was a witch not just any witch a power one part of the children of the eclipse.
And I was going to enjoy ripping her apart.
Lynne lunged, and I met her halfway.
She was fast–enhanced fast.
But I was faster.
We clashed, our movements a blur of steel and claws. Her fist connected with my ribs, but I twisted, using her momentum against her. I slammed my elbow into her jaw, sending her staggering back.
She spat blood.
Then she laughed.
“I see you’ve gotten stronger,” she mused, wiping her lip.
I rolled my shoulders. I learned form the best. And you haven’t seen anything yet.” I said as I shifted my armor shining.
She came at me again, feinting left before striking right. I caught her wrist mid–air, twisting sharply. She grunted in pain but didn’t yield, slamming her knee into my stomach.

Chapter 216
I barely flinched.
Dark energy swirled around her and turned in daggers tha she sent ying towards me. I dogged most of them but got one into my shoulder. I barely staggered and my mates rushed towards me.
“I’ve got this.” I said.
“But Stormi…..” Alex protested.
“I said I’ve got this!“. I growled.
“Don’t worry I’ll get to you guys once im finished with her.” Commander Lynne’s said a smirk playing on her lips. “I have to say, I’m impressed, Stormi. I thought the Shadow Weaver had finished you off. But I suppose it’s only fitting that I get to kill you myself. You should have stayed hidden, little wolf,” she taunted, her voice smooth as silk but laced with venom. “You cannot win against
me.”
A growl rumbled deep in my chest.
She struck first. A bolt of dark energy crackled through the air, aimed straight for my heart. I dodged, my speed a blur, but the ground where I had stood exploded in a burst of fire and smoke. Before I could react, she lifted her hands, and invisible chains wrapped around my limbs, yanking me to a halt.
Pain seared through me as the magic tightened, locking me in place. My muscles strained, but the more I fought, the stronger her spell grew. Commander Lynne stepped forward, smirking. “Poor little beast. Strength alone won’t save you.”
I let out a snarl, baring my fangs. Strength wasn’t my only weapon. Summoning the full force of my moon essence, I roared. The sound shattered the night, and with it, the magic binding me cracked. With a final, violent jerk, I broke free.
Commander Lynne’s smirk vanished.
I lunged. She teleported in a swirl of shadows, but I had anticipated her move. Spinning mid–air, I landed where she reappeared, swiping my claws across her shoulder. She shrieked as blood splattered the ground.
“You-”
She tried to retaliate, raising her hand to cast another spell, but I didn’t let her. I pounced, dodging a streak of black fire that seared past my face. Before she could vanish again, I slammed into her, knocking her onto the forest floor.
She gasped, struggling beneath my weight. Desperation flickered in her violet eyes as she tried to whisper an incantation.
Too late.
I bared my fangs and struck. My jaws clamped around her throat, silencing her before the spell could leave her lips. The tang of blood filled my mouth as her body twitched–then stilled.
I stepped back, chest heaving, ears twitching as the forest fell silent. The scent of death and burnt magic lingered, it was over.
Tilting my head back, I let out a victorious howl, the sound echoing through out.
The soldiers watched in horror at commander Lynne’s body.Then at me.
Then they ran.
I let them run.
They weren’t the real enemy.

Chapter 216
I turned back to my people, Taking in their exhausted but hopeful faces.
It was time to go.
I reached deep inside myself, and opened the lunar veil.Silver light spread around us, swirling like a protective shield. Then the wall began to flicker.
And in an instant, I sent us to the strong hold.
