This allowed Eliza to step away and handle her own matters without worrying about leaving the guests unattended.
After all, Hubert was there to back her up, and even Percival had taken the initiative to speak on her behalf. With these two prominent figures present, who could possibly feel slighted?
Recognizing their goodwill, Eliza didn’t hesitate. She did indeed have something that required her attention.
“Thank you all for your understanding. Please enjoy the banquet, and if you need anything, feel free to let the staff know. Apologies for any shortcomings,” she said with a warm smile.
Up to this point, Eliza had been nothing but courteous and gracious.

Once the guests had all moved to the flower hall to continue enjoying the banquet, Eliza turned her gaze to Nolan, who was still standing outside the door.
Their eyes met, and a subtle smile passed between them.
“You handled that well,” Nolan said with a smirk as he stepped into the room. His gaze fell on the box containing the unused black cloth doll.
“Did you prepare this, or was it the Hendersons?” he asked, his tone sharp and curious.
Eliza chuckled lightly. “I knew you’d notice. I had Renee prepare it.”
As she spoke, she picked up the doll and carefully wiped away the mud with a
handkerchief, revealing two hastily stitched words: “Eliza’s Demise.”

If the Henderson family were still here and saw this black cloth doll, they would immediately realize it wasn’t the one they had intended to use to frame Eliza.
Nolan frowned slightly at the sight of the words. “This is inauspicious. Don’t do such things again.”
“I had no choice. Time was running out, and the only way to turn their scheme against them was to fight fire with fire,” Eliza said, her gaze shifting to Renee.
Without hesitation, Renee pulled out another tightly wrapped doll from her sleeve.
As the cloth fell away, the doll’s sinister aura became apparent. It resembled the previous one but was more intricately crafted, exuding an eerie and unsettling vibe.
This one also had writing on it, but the words were scrawled in blood–someone’s
birthdate and time.
Even without a name, Eliza instantly recognized it.
“It’s Raisa’s birthdate,” she said coldly.
It was not Isabelle’s, but Raisa’s.
Isabelle’s birthdate was in January, but this one was for August.
In other words, Fletcher had fabricated a new identity for Isabelle, complete with a
false birthdate.
Their plan was simple yet vicious. Use this doll to ruin the Padilla family’s banquet and frame me for witchcraft against Noble Consort Diana.
And if they played their cards right, they might even drag Diana into the mess.
After all, on the surface, the Holy Lady and the Noble Consort seemed unrelated, but the Empress and the Noble Consort? That was a different story altogether.
‘Was this Isabelle’s idea, or the Henderson family’s doing?‘ Eliza wondered. ‘Either way, they won’t get away with it.‘
Regardless of who was behind it, she had no intention of letting this matter slide today.
Before she could dwell further, a maid’s voice interrupted from outside. “Your Grace, Lady Nevill is here.”
